Imagine illness as a future experience.

Virus Experience Hall asks how people might relate to illness in a future where viral diseases have largely been overcome. Research into medical history, emerging technologies, the experience economy and museums informed a speculative venue that combines disease education with a provocative service: choosing to experience illness and recovery.

Make a fictional service tangible.

The proposal translates that scenario into a visitor journey and a set of physical artifacts. Exhibition displays introduce viruses, while forms, a disclaimer, capsules and an atomizer make the fictional personalized service tangible. Fabricated components and a staged photographic storyboard document each touchpoint, from viewing the exhibition to the imagined treatment experience.

Use feedback to clarify the journey.

Workshop feedback helped make the service easier to understand. A nurse questioned an injection wristband and suggested oral capsules and clearer risk information; a visitor preferred selectable options to writing open-ended requirements. The exploration uses these details to raise questions about bodily autonomy, health values and the ethics of turning illness into an experience.
